Host Families Testimonials

Both Meichen and Xuehan have been a pleasure to host.They are polite, respectful and always attempt to speak English. They are not afraid to ask questions from time to time and have helped each other out with their English. Both are welcome back anytime! I’m just sorry we never got around to making dumplings for Chinese New Year!
                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Nicola Wheeler–Yarnton
One of our students (WANG JIAZHUO) is lovely, she is very polite, bubbly and her English is very good – she has been a joy to have. The other girl (LI ZINAN) is also polite but her English isn’t as good so it’s more difficult to communicate – luckily her friend translates everything for her. They have both been very tidy and have listened to what we have said and have stuck to the house rules and respected when our little girl goes to bed and are always very quiet after this time. They are appreciative of the meals we have provided.                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Rachel Wells – Kidlington

Both Zita and Bonney have been lovely. If feels as though they have been staying with me for longer than just a couple of days. I was very impressed with their confidence level. It is a shame they are leaving early.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Fauzia – Wood farm

We are having a great time with our students and it has certainly been the most pleasant experience so far. The two boys presented us with beautiful gifts and have been very polite and considerate. But most of all, we enjoyed the interesting conversations we had after dinners. After being a bit shy at the beginning, they were very interested in learning about the English culture and discussing different matters with us. Yesterday, for example, we had a discussion on one of their school projects. We are very much looking forward to hearing tonight how there project concluded.

Yes, they have been great, very polite and offering to help etc. Eloise had loved them too. They have been great playing with her!

                                                                                                                                                                                                            Sarah Beauchamp – Kidlington

They are very sweet- however with this group had to resist their requests to cook their own dumplings and do their own washing in the machine though am afraid!
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Fiammetta – Cowley

I would like to leave my feed back. Our girls are fantastic. Polite, caring, considerate girls! Really worked well for us all to understand each other. A real joy to have. We will miss them.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Christine Crowther, Cowley

I would like to say an exceptionally big thank u to our female leader for supporting my daughter of 9 years with her charity work. I had agreed for her to sell some of their books to help her raise money 4 her charity. We mentioned this to the leaders staying with us – to c if any of their group
would b interested as they were only 50p & in fantastic condition. She mentioned this to the group organiser – whom collected all 160 books to give the students experience with their business course by selling them on. My daughter was thrilled, i was happy to have some space back & the organiser was pleased to b able to give stu a real experience. So a very big thank u to all – especially our female leader.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Salma – Marston
Our students, Jason, Mac and Terry have been very good guests, very polite and chatty. They even made their beds every morning!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Jackie – KenningtonWe have really enjoyed Jenny and Tiffany staying with us. They have been delightful. They would be most welcome to stay with us again, if they return to Oxford again one day! Such lovely polite girls.                                                                                                                                                                                                             Debbie Cowlishaw – Kidlington

As to the girls, hard to separate, wanted so much to get involved with the cooking that on Tuesday I made my pastry as they watched and asked questions. I then got them to grease five individual pie tins and made the first chicken pie cutting out the base, putting in the filling and putting a top on. The girls, one by one copied this and put their own signature on the top, pictures were taken and then of the finished result. Many thanks for keeping us in the loop, and Kung Hey Fai Choy {Happy New Year !}
